Lindsay Albert maintains a vibrant teaching and performance career as a collaborative pianist in the Boston area. An accomplished pianist and music director with more than two decades of experience, she has worked in churches, schools, opera companies, and musical theatre programs both internationally and across the Boston area.
As a recital pianist, Ms. Albert specializes in vocal repertoire-- art song, opera, and musical theatre鈥攚hile also accompanying choirs, directing musical programs, coaching singers, and teaching piano students of all ages. Her extensive performance experience informs her work in the studio, where collaboration, musical sensitivity, breath, and stylistic versatility are central to her teaching.
Ms. Albert has taught at Boston College, Brookline Music School, The Wheelock Family Theatre, Wellan Montessori, The Chestnut Hill School, The New School. She has held staff pianist appointments at The Boston Conservatory, Harvard University, Longy School of Music, and Boston College. In addition to her academic work, Ms. Albert serves as Minister of Music at United Church of Christ Norwell, where she directs a large volunteer choir, leads multiple ensembles, and plays piano and organ each week to provide inspiring and spiritually uplifting music for worship.
A dedicated teacher, Lindsay is passionate about helping students discover their voice. She believes the qualities of great performers鈥攃ommitment, mindfulness, integrity, and compassion鈥攁re also the guiding principles to a meaningful life.
