Hon. Neil K. Sherring is the Presiding First Justice of the Metro-South Division of the Massachusetts Housing Court. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Charlie Baker in 2018. Judge Sherring is Co-Chair of the Housing Court鈥檚 Educational Committee.听
Prior to joining the bench, Sherring was a partner at Dakoyannis & Sherring, LLC, where he was managing partner of the firm鈥檚 litigation department.听 He also was a litigation associate at the Boston firm of Mintz Levin, a Massachusetts Assistant Attorney General, an Assistant District Attorney for the Northwestern District and a Massachusetts Superior Court Law Clerk.
Sherring has served as Program Chair and faculty member of the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education 鈥淭rying your First Civil Case in the Superior Court鈥� and 鈥淒eposition Workshop.鈥澨� He is a Advisory Board Member of the South Asian Bar Association, co-founder of the South Asian Domestic Violence Task Force and former member of the Middlesex County District Attorney鈥檚 External Diversity Committee.
